Maple Pear and Brussel Sprout Salad using Pure Maple Syrup from Canada

This post is sponsored by Maple Syrup From Canada – all opinions expressed are my own. Thanks for supporting partnerships that make Nutrition Happen!

Fall is for all of the maple inspired recipes and I’m excited to share this Maple Pear and Brussel Sprout salad with you! It’s made using 100% Pure Maple Syrup from Canada which is made only with one ingredient (the sap from maple trees!) and it’s the perfect blend of fall produce and flavors in one hearty salad.

Maple syrup will always be my go-to choice for a natural sweetener because it’s versatile enough to add flavor in both sweet and savory recipes. It adds a touch of sweetness to all of the baked goods I make and so much flavor to dressings and sauces in savory recipes.  I love how simple it is with only one ingredient! That tells you that it’s true, 100% maple syrup. Other alternative syrups in the grocery stores are just not the same in regards to quality or nutrients. Real maple syrup also has a very distinct, rich maple flavor that’s unique and unlike other alternative syrups.

A little bit will go a long way with maple syrup which is nice because you don’t need a lot at once to get the full taste or flavor. While maple syrup is technically still a sugar, you can absolutely still consume it as a part of a well-balanced, healthy diet. Overall, per every 2 tbsp serving it’s an excellent source of manganese and good source of riboflavin, which our bodies need to produce energy.

I love how maple syrup ties together all of the in season fall produce in this salad – it’s just the best combination! Sweet, savory, and crunchy. If you end up trying this, give me a tag on Instagram at @NutritionHappens and let me know what you think!
